MIAMI, FL – Tom Thumb Food Stores is once again supporting Coral Restoration Foundation™ in their spirited social media campaign to raise money for coral reef restoration in South Florida waters. To kick-off the day of giving, Jim and Tom McCarthy, owners of Tom Thumb, have donated $5,000 towards Coral Restoration Foundation’s total donation goal of $20,000.

The National Day of Giving is just getting started, supporters can make their donations online by visiting the Coral Restoration Foundation™ website at or in-person at each of Tom Thumb’s 14 Southeast Florida locations. Today only, every donation up to $20,000 will be matched, meaning that each dollar donated has double the impact.

“We are so grateful for the love and support shown to us by Tom Thumb over the years. It is thanks to consistent donors like Jim and Tom that despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are still able to work towards our long-term goal of restoring Florida’s Coral Reef to a thriving ecosystem .”

“Coral Restoration Foundation™ has been a top priority for us to support, both as a company and personally. We grew up in Southeast Florida and truly enjoy what this area of the planet has to offer. Martha and her dedicated team work tirelessly to rebuild the natural habitats of local marine life, which is immensely important to the ecosystem and a cause worth going above and beyond to support; not just from Tom Thumb, but all South Florida locals as well.” – Tom & Jim McCarthy, Owners of Tom Thumb Food Stores, Inc.
